Letter: Idiocy personified in bathroom battle

At a recent school board meeting in Elida, it was decided that transgender children can use the bathroom facilities of their choice.

Now it is difficult to imagine that a physically attributed girl at birth would want to enter a boys’ restroom, although it would be more likely that a boy would be willing to use a girls’ facility.

We have with this President Joe Biden administration been subject to countless situations of wokeness, and all have ended in a tremendous amount of negative results. Why, even the latest entry to the Supreme Court, Ketanji Brown Jackson, could not define the term “woman.” Then again, perhaps she is unsure of her own sex.

We have biological male swimmers who claim to be of the female gender and compete against biological women. It has taken years to establish female sports on an equal footing with male sports, and now the very existence of that hard-fought battle is being lost.

I wonder where all the feminists are hiding and not at the forefront championing for our ladies. Perhaps they are too busy burning bras and protesting for the right to abort. Why, where were they when the government-imposed injections were mandated as they shouted from the top of their lungs, “My body, my choice?” Silence, total silence.

Then it has come to pass that our young daughters are faced with the prospect of a male in their private space in the advanced village of Elida. Let it be known to the school board of Elida, your idiocy is not welcome in the city of Wapakoneta and even less in our public schools.
