HAMILTON — The Locos battled and made the most of only three hits but saw their season end with a 6-5 loss to the Hamilton Joes on Saturday night in a Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League playoff semifinal.

LIMA – This weekend, the No. 2 seed Lima Locos face the No. 1 seed Hamilton Joes in a three-game series in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League playoffs.

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League handed out its postseason awards on Thursday afternoon and the Locos claimed three of them, including Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year and Prospect of the Year.

LIMA – On Friday, the No. 2 seed Lima Locos will face the No. 1 seed Hamilton Joes in the first game of a three-game series in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League postseason playoffs at Simmons Field. The first pitch is set for 7:05 on Friday.

LIMA – The Lima Locos had already clinched a playoff berth heading into Tuesday’s home game against the Grand Lake Mariners.

CELINA – The Lima Locos entered play on Monday night needing a sweep of Grand Lake and some help around the league to clinch the second seed in the GLSCL postseason.

MASON — On Tuesday night at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio, 10 different Locos made an appearance in the GLSCL All-Star Game on the Blue Team in an 11-8 victory over the Red Team.

LIMA — At this time last year, the Locos were preparing to capture their seventh Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League Championship.

MASON — On Tuesday night at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio, 10 different Locos made an appearance in the GLSCL All-Star Game on the Blue Team in an 11-8 victory over the Red Team.

The Lima Locos swept a doubleheader from the Southern Ohio Copperheads on Thursday at Simmons Field, but it was far from easy.
