Letter: What has Jim Jordon done for you?

According to Congress.gov, U.S. Rep. Jim Jordon, R-Urbana, has been in the United States Congress since January 2007. In the 10-year period from January 2007 to December 2017, Jordan sponsored only 27 bills, as counted by Congress.gov, or only 30 bills, as counted by Propublica.org.

During 2018, 2019 and thus far in 2020, he has sponsored zero bills. Of the 27 or 30 Bills he has sponsored, none have been enacted into law.

Other than being obnoxious and ill-mannered during congressional hearings, what legislative accomplishments has he produced for his constituents in the 4th Congressional District of Ohio? The answer is none. To use a baseball analogy, if you went 0-for-27, or 0-for 30 during a 13-year career, most people would wonder why in the heck you’re still in baseball.

I wonder why in the heck Jordon is still in Congress. The simple answer is gerrymandering.
