Letter: Trump’s record says what …

As Americans prepare to start voting, the main argument put forth by Trump and his followers isn’t how proud they are of Trump’s record as president, but how bad they think his opponent is.

Due to Trump’s horrific record as the nation’s chief executive, they can’t articulate anything he’s done over the last four years. No, their main argument to give him another four years is that his opponent is a slow coach, that he’s lost a few steps in his mental ability, that he’s just not the man he used to be.

Have these people actually watched and listened to Trump these last four years?

They are backing a man who brags about passing a cognitive mental appraisal … and that he received extra points for it. The question begging to be asked by the free press is why was Trump given the mental appraisal in the first place? The evaluation that Trump was given is an analysis of someone showing early signs of the onset of either dementia and/or Alzheimer’s disease.

Based on the words and actions of the current president over the last four years, for either him or his supporters to accuse anyone else of having diminished mental acuity is a fabrication of Trumpian proportions.

As the election, and Donald Trump’s final exam draws near, Americans have the chance to choose someone who has a proven track record of leadership, speaks the truth, shows empathy for his fellow citizens, and cares about America or someone who has proven over the last four years that his main attributes are traitorous foreign collaborations, lying, cheating, bigotry, bullying and taking credit for accomplishments that he inherited.
