As daily reader of The Lima News, I often scan the Letters section. Once in awhile there is an example of man’s humanity toward man. After church Sunday, I went to the Old Barn Out Back for brunch. I scoped out the offerings and then placed my order.
While eating, the waitress came to the table and said that my check had been paid by someone. I gave her a questioning look and asked “my bill?” She said yes. Somewhat still in disbelief, I finished eating then asked the waitress to come to the table. I asked her again if that was for real and that when I walked out the door nobody would come chasing after me to pay. She said yes.
To whomever they are, thank you very much. I shall pass it on.
