I have been mulling over the Sunday, Nov. 10, article in The Lima News about the Republican stronghold in Northwest Ohio. Let me preface my concerns by saying that I am a registered Democrat (just to be different), but tend to vote for the person, not the party.
I truly feel that all members of a party are not of one mind about many issues. So, if someone votes a straight ticket, I wonder if they even know anything about the opposing candidates. Perhaps it is time to spend a little more time investigating each candidate, rather than vote a party line.
Please think about this as we enter anther season of political fervor. More importantly, show support by voting!
