Thank you Ray Barnes for your great letter on Oct. 28, “Trump is the president I wanted.” You said it like it is Ray, and you said it well.
This country was established and built by people who wanted personal freedom. They were willing to put their lives on the line to obtain it. Many lost their lives.
In this country it is we the people who need to be respected. If we want respect, we must be willing to stand up for our freedom at any cost.
Freedom means we will be responsible for ourselves and not look to others (government) to support us. We all must help pull the wagon.
We paid (and pay) for Social Security and Medicare. They are good programs, but all of the other programs that are not prepaid should be severely cut or eliminated. It is time to balance the budget.
