Letter: You don’t get what paid for

If you are paying a third of your Social Security check for cable TV— wouldn’t it be nice to get what you paid for?

Four calls and three visits by men who are going to fix the problem still haven’t gotten my one problem fixed. One call was answered by a woman who asked, “Is your TV on?” I was told to check the fuse box and see if switch was thrown.

Then there was a call to customer service asking why my bill has almost doubled. The response: “Well, we did have two plans but another one came up—-so we went to that one.” The conversation ended by her asking me—“How is the weather in Leeema.” I am not paying to discuss weather here.

If you are paying for trash pick-up, wouldn’t it be nice if your trash can wasn’t laying down by the curb with broken wheels every month? It spends more time there then where it should be: Trucks pounding cans into ground three times and then throwing it sure doesn’t help the problem either.

Wish we could get what we are paying for.
