Letter: I-75 a wreck in waiting

In reading The Lima News today (April 6), I again see yet another accident on I-75 on the “two lane” portion that runs south of Findlay to north of Troy.

As a resident who drives on this Interstate at least three times per week, and have since 1989 for my employer, I can tell you first hand this Interstate should have been expanded to three lanes all the way down to Troy. When asked why, when the Department of Transportation was presenting the new interchange plan running through Lima, we were told it is “designed to expand when needed.”

How many accidents does it take on this stretch of highway for that to happen? We here in Lima only see the reports in our area. Believe me the stretch between Sidney and Troy is having the same problem.
