We would like to thank The Lima News and the community for supporting Mizpah Community Center through the Empty Stocking Fund. Your very generous donation will enable us to continue our mission of empowering neighbors to commit to investing in a strong, sustainable community.
We currently serve our children in an after-school program, provide bimonthly lunches to the elderly and distribute free produce in cooperation with the West Ohio Food Bank. The gift from the Empty Stocking Fund provided a festive Christmas Party with hand-selected presents for our after-school children and will allow us to keep our center strong and initiate education programs for youth and adults.
Recently we obtained a 501(c)3 status as a non-profit agency and will be soliciting funds and writing grants to develop educational programs for our community.
