Letter: Motorist yields to ducklings

I was driving east on Elida Road, trying to turn right onto Cable Road, when a car in front of me was stopped. I didn’t see why and I honked my horn. I finally saw (seconds later) why. There was a mother duck with 8 to 10 chicks crossing the road.

This car in front of me stopped and the mother and her chicks walked across the road. No car interfered and this beautiful part of nature was performed due to that wonderful driver who stopped traffic and let nature perform.

I acknowledged the driver of the car but it would be “great” if The Lima News could find this person and thank them for the great act he or she performed. I’m sure there were many other cars involved.

Thanking you.
