On New Year’s Day, my car became disabled just before getting to the speaker in the drive-thru at the Allentown Road Kewpee. The electrical system malfunctioned and froze the gear shift in park, blocking a long line of cars.
People behind me and others came out of nowhere to help. One man knew a trick to release the gear shift and helped push the car out of the way. A lady even offered to give us a ride.
I called 911 asking for advice on a towing service, and Army’s Towing Service professional towed my car to the dealer. I missed my Kewpee burger, but all’s well that ends well. Special thanks to all the Lima good Samaritans!
