Letter: Excellent showing at the Allen County Fair

First, I would like to congratulate Maddie Seeling for all her accomplishments this year, both at the Ohio State Fair Junior Horse Show and the Allen County Fair. It is obvious that she works hard for those accolades and deserves them.

Winning six banners is a very special feat, but she was not the only member to do that in the Horse Department this year. Dawson Clay, of Classic Showmen, was also a six-banner winner. He won Reining, Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Riding, Senior Cones and Barrels, Costume and Versatility. This was his last year to compete at the County Fair as he will be in college during fair week next year. It was great for him to end on such a high note! Dawson put in a lot of time and work with his horse so those banners represented rewards for those efforts.

All of the youth involved in the Allen County Fair put in countless hours to be successful with their projects whether it be livestock or special interests. We are proud of all of them!
