Letter: Abortion fight not over despite Issue 1 outcome

So the election is over, and the pro-abortion people are sounding their victory over Issue 1. The liberal press is jumping all over this, that it’s a “victory for women’s rights.” Do these same women who chant this ever think they could have not existed because they could have been aborted by their mothers?

Is it a victory to murder a voiceless unborn child? The child is seen by these women as an “inconvenience,” presented by the abortion industry as tissue, like a mole to be removed. The real bottom line comes with, “We’ll send our bill to your insurance company,” or, “We hope you set up a payment plan.”

Since abortion became legal in 1973, how many women have been deceived by this talk about women’s rights?

The fight for these children will not be extinguished. The pro-life movement will not go away. We will try to defeat the proposed amendment in November.

For the women and men who are devastated and tortured by the abortion of their child, you’re not alone. The people at Rachel’s Vineyard (877-467-3463) have an open heart and a listening ear. Many women are very scared and don’t know what to do. Heartbeat of Lima (419-222-7980 or 419-222-7945) has a way to help you through to birth and beyond or take you through the adoption process.

Mother Teresa once said, “How can we have peace on earth when we do violence to the child in the womb?” Abortions may go on (legal or illegal) and we can have vote after vote, but there is a tender, loving one who can change hearts and has the final word.
