Letter: Really going to miss my daily newspaper

I am so sad and almost in tears! Ball all good things must come to an end (no fault of yours).

After taking The Lima News daily for 63 years, it is being taken away from me. You see, I am 84 years old and do not have a computer or cell phone in my home — just the dear old landline and basic tier-one TV channels. So I will not longer be able to get the obituaries of my dear friends who pass away. It’s so sad.

Us elderly people are trying to be forced to use technology, with debit cards, self check-out and making our own appointments online.

I will miss the daily crosswords, and my husband will miss the comics, especially Pluggers, many times they are us. It’s the laugh of the day.

I guess we will die and never be missed, but I will really miss The Lima News.
