I am writing to request your support of the two Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District renewal levies on the ballot this May 2nd election.
As a lifetime Allen County resident, me and my family of six have utilized the park district’s numerous offerings in all stages of our lives. With clean, safe, maintained, renovated parks; hiking, walking, running and biking trails; archery; camping; fishing and swimming facilities; programs and festivals; and recreational and nature and cultural educational opportunities, JAMPD offers activities and facilities to cater to the interests of every resident of our community, including catering to both their mental and physical needs.
Parks provide a healthy outlet for citizens to experience physical activity and mental joy with accessibility to them all day, every day of the year. This is an invaluable resource for children and adults alike and is imperative to providing nature, activity and access to health in our community.
Please vote yes to renew both Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District levies on the May 2nd ballot in order to sustain our park’s quality! Two renewals, no new taxes, same great quality.
