Letter: Slow response when it comes to assembly

In early March, I visited Sam’s Club in Lima with my family and saw a gazebo I liked.

I went back home and ordered this gazebo online and paid for the product, shipping and assembly.

That was over six weeks ago, and we are yet to be contacted by the company that Sam’s Club partners with, “Go Configure.” The gazebo was delivered and still sits in boxes in the garage.

If you get online, you will read page after page after page of complaints from customers who ordered products at places like Sam’s Club andhave waited months for their fully purchased products to be assembled.

This may seem like a trivial matter to you, but believe me there are many many Ohioans still waiting. Perhaps you could help inform any who are considering a purchase with a retailer that partners with Go Configure to think twice.

Sam’s Club should post a disclaimer before we purchase that “it can and does take months before we even receive a call setting up the appointment” (which many times they don’t even honor).

From what I hear from Go Configure representatives, this is an especially long delay for Ohio customers.
