Letter: Adoptions close to home

I read the story on adoption in Sunday’s edition of The Lima News.

People don’t realize that there are 115 children available for adoption right now in the state of Ohio, according to the OPAL adoption website. They don’t have to go overseas to adopt children. I’m not knocking overseas adoption, but there are options much closer to home.

I’m sure that the family profiled in the story is extremely happy with their adoptive daughter and that she is happy to have a forever family!

Prospective adoptive parents can telephone Allen County Children’s Services to inquire about waiting children right in our county.

Michael Wrasman,

Delphos
