‘Snow Heroes:’ Neighbors looking out for neighbors

I am 85 and my wife is 83. Our children live out of state and we have no other family around here to give us a hand when we need it. But a neighbor a couple of houses away by the name of Bill Johnson started showing up after a snow with his snowblower, and not saying a word, he just cleaned our sidewalks and driveway. He has been doing it for two or three years now.

He has also cleaned our gutters and helped us pick up leaves. He gave us his telephone number and said if you need anything just call. Our children are always concerned about us so when I told them about bill they were relieved.

“bill’s actions helped more than my wife and I . He is our super hero even if he can’t fly.

My next door neighbor is more than a snow hero! Not only does he blow the snow off my driveway and sidewalks, he brings my garbage cans up from the curb every week. Darrell Steed and his wife Rachel are the best neighbors I could ask for!!!

Hi, My name is Allie. My Mom is my “Snow Hero.” I love to be in the snow.

However, since I am so short, my Mom shovels several pathways in the snow

so I can use them and not get soaked in the taller snow.

I hope other pet owners would do the same.

Kudos to our Lima News delivery person. The Lima News is never as welcome as on a stuck in the house snow day. Such a heartwarming pleasure to find the paper on the porch each morning around 6:00 a.m.

Thank you papercCarrier. Thank you Lima News.
