Please buy a dictionary for whoever wrote the headline “Vaccine stats show racial disparities.”
Disparity is a word that is used to describe a situation where a difference is found due to inequality. That is not the case in this situation. Rather, some populations, for one reason or another, are choosing not to get the vaccine. It has nothing to do with inequality
That said, I sincerely hope that whatever is causing anyone to be reluctant to get the vaccine is something that can be addressed. I would hate to see anyone get COVID, but especially now that a vaccine is available.
