The great Abraham Lincoln said, “You can fool some of the people all of the time, you can fool all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.” Donald Trump sure gave it a try. His place in history as one of our worst presidents has been assured.
He has alienated our allies, while praising our foes who would like nothing better than to bring us down. He is a racist, throwing plenty of racist “dog whistles” at his admirers during the recent campaign. He is trying to overturn the Affordable Care Act that 22 million Americans depend on, although he has nothing better. He is obsessed with overturnit it, due to it being an accomplishment of the Obama administration. He has done little to help with the COVID-19 crisis, saying it will go away on its own. Meanwhile, thousands die daily.
Anyone who thinks Trump will make a political comeback in 2024 is living in a make-believe world. It is much more likely that he will be in prison before them. He has several lawsuits and investigations pending against him, alleging tax fraud, insurance fraud, wire fraud, rape, bank fraud and defamation. Some courts have put the cases on hold he is president. Had he served another term, some of the cases would have been dismissed due to the statute of limitations expiring. He can no longer hide in the Oval Office after Jan. 20.
Someone is coming after Trump. She will not be fooled by his schemes and scams. He will not grab her by her genitalia and laugh about it, as he says he has done with others. She is blind, but far from handicapped. Her name is Lady Justice.
