Letter: Building boom in Lima

My home town (Lima) has a big project going on in our downtown Public Square. Work on Rhodes State College’s $20-million Center for Health Science Education & Innovation is underway in downtown Lima. I stopped by yesterday to take pictures.

We have many “growing” projects going on in Lima. A new state-of-the-art, $15-million medical residency campus at Lima’s Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Lima just finished a $40-million overflow tank for our sewerage department. Lima also just finished a “round-a-bout” and train tracks underpass that was years in the making and very needed for fire protection for a large part of the city.

Another project: Nutrien plans an investment which will bring some 800 workers to Lima and result in $100 million-worth of upgrades at the facility. And all of this makes a sort of building boom in Lima, Ohio!

I am glad that I live in Lima, Ohio. Don’t you wish you lived here too?

Exciting times here in the middle of the pandemic. Lima is still moving forward, because Lima is the best little town in the whole USA. This is because of our leadership from Mayor David Berger and the Lima City Council. Enjoy Lima!
