Letter: Hiding out when things get hot

Not only does it seem to be okay for Joe Biden to take a lid for most of the week to dodge questions about selling influence with Hunter or “prep for a debate,” it is now okay for the entire Democrat side of the Senate Judiciary Committee to take a lid for a Supreme Court nominee vote due to things not going their way.

How many of us would like to have the same luxury when we didn’t like or agree with a task at work or home. I believe we would be fired for such actions. It is important to perform our jobs even when there are issues we don’t agree. It’s called being accountable to the ones who hired us.

Ron Corson, Ottawa
