Letter: Perry levy seeks same funds

Voters in the Perry Local School District will be asked to renew a five-year operating levy in the Nov. 3 election. This will not cost taxpayers any more money.

The 4.9-mill would generate nearly $440,000 annually and fund school operating expenses, such as personnel, transportation, utilities and supplies. If approved, it also would help offset the loss of tangible tax dollars and recent cuts in state’s school-funding formula.

Perry Local Schools remains committed to spending tax dollars sensibly, ensuring the best for students and the community.
