During this election the word socialism is kicked around by several readers including Susan Rudzinski in her comments, “Vote Trump, vote for America”, Saturday October 9, 2020. This is my comment to Susan:
We hear Socialism being mentioned as if our Constitution will allow America to be drastically changed into a country completely foreign from what we know of America today. What is your definition of Socialism? How will or can a person disrupt or change our constitution to fit his/her will? What part does our legislative body play in protecting the rights of every American and our country? Your audience is and might be the entire student population, voters on the bubble, and the entire community-at-large. We want to hear your views. Let’s not resurrect McCarthyism.
