Letter: Don’t treat voters as fools

On Wednesday, Sept. 23, I got a large postcard from the Ohio Republican Party, and it made me very angry. Lies should not be sent by either party, and it is sad that the Republican Party has stooped so low.

I would hope that everyone would agree that not all Democrats are radical liberals, just as not all Republicans are radical conservatives. Publishing such lies is an insult to all of us. The biggest insult is that at the Democratic Convention the Pledge of Allegiance would be said on national TV in front of millions and “under God” would be left out.

I saw the convention and I saw reruns of the pledge, and it was done beautifully with small groups of people from around the country saying parts of the pledge linking the whole pledge together. In fact, “under God” was said several times. If you saw something different, you can be assured that someone cut those clips out and then sent it to Trump who immediately believed it and tweeted it on to his followers who are stupid enough to also believe.

If you watched both conventions you would have seen the original. Isn’t that why we have conventions? Each party presents their platform which we can compare to help us make a choice. I think anyone would be less than intelligent to believe Biden does not want law and order or to support the police. Wake up Republicans and use your head. How better off are you now than four years ago? I know senior citizens are not and things could get worse.
