Letter: Do better, be better

The state of the country right now is terrible. We keep seeing President Trump sharing pictures of the riots in this country saying this is a Joe Biden America, but Mr. President, isn’t it your country? This is your responsibility. You have the power to help heal this country, and instead you choose to keep dividing, to keep using hate and fear to stoke the racial issues in this country.

You choose to be selfish above selflessness. You have smeared the image of this country. The world, and this country will never forget how complicit Republicans stood by and defended a man who could never grow into the job of being president of the United States.

Donald Trump won in 2016 with this same kind of hateful rhetoric and we should learn from that mistake. We should strive towards a country with leaders who will do better, and be better.
