Letter: Elida Road needs reduced speed limit

Like thousands of folks every day, I am a frequent traveler on Elida Road.

There has been much talk lately of this being an area of high enforcement to curb speeding, distracted driving and the like. It occurs to me that in such a problem area that is heavily traveled, the first order of business would be to lower the speed limit from 45 mph to 35 mph. This should be the case at least from Robb Avenue to Eastown Road.

There are many streets in Lima and in surrounding areas where the speed limit is 35mph and does not encounter nearly as much traffic. Let’s start with the most sensible solution to an ongoing problem!
