Letter: Tired of politics in midst of virus

At the beginning of this pandemic, I was impressed as the world seemed to react as one to win this battle.

People in the U.S. were pulling together to help one another. Then, as usual, power plays and politics had to enter the picture. The “blame” game took over. In this country, both parties get caught up in placing blame instead of fixing problems. If as much effort were expended on finding solutions as we spend trying to fix blame, we would be so much better off.

Oh, and, of course, we have the conspiracy theorists working overtime. So an “entity” caused this pandemic to shut down the entire world in order to embarrass Trump? Or Trump started it to make China look bad? On and on and on.

The virus is here, just like Rubella, Diphtheria, Polio, etc., were here. Please! Can we focus on solutions instead of being part of the problem? Be good Americans.
