In late January and early February my wife and I both came down with a respiratory illness that was unlike anything we had ever experienced before. The symptoms were fever, and racking coughing up green phlegm etc. We were both quite ill with this. Now I have noted that many folks on Facebook have been posting similar experiences.
A story in The Lima News Lima noted Lima Memorial Health Systems announced it would be offering antibody tests to identify those who have had the Covid-19 Virus.
Wonderful. Great News. NOT!
The article generously announces that most tests are covered by insurance when a doctor orders it. And if you want a test that is not recommended by a doctor you can get one in Wapakoneta for only $97. Are they kidding, the thousands of people have been laid off from their jobs, and have been living hand to mouth are now expected to pony up $97 for a test which I would bet that the hospital received for free or very little cost. In any case, the tests should be free as a public service.
Could it be possible that it would not be a good thing for the shut down if it were found that the virus had been around for longer and had pretty much run it’s course long ago? Just asking.
