As I read the Letters in the Your View column, I am amazed and saddened that some people are so concerned with their dislike, actual hate, of the president.
Regardless of how you think of Republicans or Democrats, can’t you put that aside and respect what so many people, our friends, neighbors and those we’ll never know are doing to make the present situation safer, better — or at least tolerable?
Yes, I watch President Trump and the national medical team on TV because I want to know what is happening. I also watch Gov. Cuomo of New York and our governor, DeWine. I don’t do it to criticize. I do it so I will have that information “”first hand”.
My profession for over 30 years was the media. More than half that time I was involved in what was happening locally and nationally. I know that it is absolutely vital to get as much information as possible “first hand”… I am grateful to national, state and local leaders to keep us informed. Very grateful.. I don’t care what political party they represent. I’ve learned from long experience that many in media have become political commentators, not news reporters, and that endangers our country, our freedoms and the well being of each of us.
This crisis we’re facing now involves everyone – absolutely everyone.
It’s time to come together.
