Letter: Be careful of misinformation

After reading the letter “Control the virus first” it has become quite clear to me where our concerns should be focused. The letter notes President Trump will end the quarantine with total disregard to the public. This is a completely false assumption without merit. To date there has been no forced quarantines associated with the coronavirus, just suggested guidelines to self-quarantine if you have symptoms under the guidelines outlined by the coronavirus task force and the CDC.

It has been reported the president is considering a quarantine in states that have high numbers of infections to try and slow the spread and contain the virus. Leaving your state not knowing if you are infected does not help this voluntary guideline.

Next reference is about our Republican Governor Mike DeWine and his quick actions to respond. I applaud his quick actions also. I just question the slow response of several Democratic governors and all there push back since the most confirmed cases of the virus are in their states and largest cities. This act of slow response and fear being driven by the national news media has now put all the essential work personnel at a greater risk.

You can go online and get the true facts if you look for reliable sources, such as the CDC, Governor DeWine’s website, or the Corona VirusTask Force Team.
