I began reading Mark Figley’s March 4 column, “Bernie Sanders You Should Know,” with interest until he referenced Cuba as “Cuber,” supposedly as spoken by Senator Sanders. At that point I stopped taking the author seriously as he is either juvenile at best or anti-Semitic at worst. Unfortunately, this local political writer’s lack of professionalism overshadowed his missive.
