Letter: Right choice for new leadership

I first became aware of the leadership skills of Tim Sielschott when he played quarterback for me at Bath High School in 1997. I was not surprised when he chose to attend an extremely demanding academic school in Maine after graduation, nor have I been surprised to see him become a successful entrepreneur and small business employer in our community.

He exhibited his overwhelming passion for helping young people again when coaching for me at Lima Central Catholic high school. Tim’s willingness to work, his ability to lead, and his desire to address challenges are traits he has exhibited his entire life. As we pass the torch of leadership to Allen County’s next generation of leaders, I can think of no better choice. I hope you will give Tim your support on March 17.
