Letter: Community a family tradition

When Tim Sielschott decided to come home to begin his business career in Allen County 16 years ago, he was truly coming home.

His great grandfather, Harold Sielschott, built Sherman Tank recovery vehicles in Lima during WWII. His grandfather, Len Sielschott, was an officer at the West Ohio Gas Company, and his father Bob Sielschott started his accounting practice in Lima nearly 40 years ago. Tim’s great-uncle Lowell Sielschott built many homes in Shawnee Township, and his uncle Dick Smallwood taught him that a key part of business success is to always give back to your home community.

Tim’s passion for making Allen County a place where our next generation can live, work, play and prosper comes from his very deep roots in our Allen County community. I hope you will decide to support Tim on March 17th.

Mary Smallwood, Lima
