Letter: What is justice in the U.S.?

Two people have a disagreement. Both get witnesses to support their respective positions. The witnesses are questioned. A decision is reached relative to the information presented.

We should be fearful, no petrified, when this basic platform for fairness is not used. Never have I ever thought we would see our “employees” (congressmen) totally disregard the rules of justice that are basic to humanity: Listen to both sides.

Add to this the act of televising this unfair format to all the American people. Yes, my fellow citizens, the topic of impeachment playing in Washington looks small in contrast to the injustice that shows when the accused is denied witnesses.

Will that ever happen to you, to me? This is the justice I saw while living in a third world country.
