The staff at Allen County Children Services would once again like to express our appreciation to the 46 licensed foster homes for opening their homes to the children of Allen County. These caring, compassionate and dedicated individuals provide a safe and stable environment for children to reside, when circumstances become too complicated for them to remain in their own home. Our goal is to always work towards reunification and our foster parents play a vital role in assisting in those efforts.
Our appreciation banquet was once again well attended, with reorganization being offered to this special group of individuals. Even though their efforts are only formally acknowledged once a year, the differences that are made by these homes daily are too many to count. Our agency is extremely fortunate to have such a valuable resource that we can partner with. The numerous reunifications and finalized adoptions are a true testament of their hard work.
