Letter: Future is bright after meeting graduates

Recently, I was invited to help judge presentations from prospective graduates of Lima Senior High School.

All seniors must present and must receive a passing grade in order to graduate. Each student had to dress in a professional manner, produce a portfolio and a PowerPoint and give an oral presentation of their post-graduation plans.

Every student that presented to me and my partner was well spoken and well prepared. I left school that afternoon with a fresh perspective of the quality of education that Lima Senior students are offered, as well as abundant optimism for the future of not only Lima but humanity.

Millennials get a bad rap sometimes, but I see a bright future. I am thankful I was given this opportunity.
