Lima youth are part of majority

Youth from Lima marched April 19 in the “We Are The Majority Rally” to celebrate the healthy, responsible decisions that the vast majority of youth make every day in Ohio. Their participation and the support of our sponsors, including OhioHealth, Verizon, and the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services, helped make it the largest WATM Rally ever!

The WATM Rally raises awareness about the fact the majority of youth in Ohio don’t use drugs but are actively involved in doing their part to prevent drug use and promote mental health wellness by leading their peers to make healthy, responsible decisions.

In fact, 90 percent of middle and high school students don’t regularly drink alcohol, 93 percent don’t use marijuana, and 99 percent don’t misuse or abuse prescription drugs.

The WATM Rally also advocates for support of youth-led prevention efforts throughout the state so that every child has a chance to grow up healthy and without the harmful effects of drug misuse.

We thank the students and faculty from Lima for their participation and for sharing their voice with the 2,100 participants of the We Are The Majority Rally!
