I would think Michael Reagan would fact check before writing his column on April 15 concerning the bombing of Muammar al-Qaddafi’s residence in 1986, especially since his father, President Ronald Reagan, was the subject of the column.
Michael state al-Qaddafi was not there when one of his places was bombed. In fact, he was home. His adopted daughter of about 18 months was killed and two young sons injured. It was rumored al-Qaddafi also was wounded but that was never confirmed.
The good news was the bombing convinced al-Qaddafi to end his sponsorship of terror acts worldwide.
Maybe Michael sanitized the story a bit to guard his father’s legacy.
