Letter: Mud-slinger doesn’t deserve vote

The campaign for Cheryl Buckland and cronies are behind the radio ads, TV ads and a phone survey that paints her opponent as too tainted to be elected. This is not a new tactic for old guard Republicans and Democrats who won’t run a clean campaign for fear of losing power and control to new lesser known candidates. I am shocked and appalled at the bullying tactics used in her vicious campaign attacks, and this is the main reason that many people no longer donate to any political party but only to individual candidates who value the US and Ohio Constitutions.

Why would anyone donate to a person, party, or PAC that has no moral compass, lacks integrity and oozes dishonesty?

Jon Cross is her opponent for the 83rd district seat in Ohio. He has worked very hard for over 18 months on his campaign while she waited until the last moment to start. She thinks spreading loads of verbal manure (the farm girl in her) is a good way to get elected, because she failed to work throughout the last 18 months to build her campaign.

Jon Cross refuses to sling mud at his opponent and, though he is younger, he has demonstrated that he is the adult in the room. Should’t we elect people based on issues rather than how many lies they can spread because of the influence, money and power they hold over our heads? Please vote for Jon Cross who has worked hard and wants to keep the conversation on issues for the people, because he chooses to represent them and not the status quo.
