Letter: Kohlrieser has right skills for judge

Some of you may recognize my name, which appeared as a byline in this newspaper for more than 21 years. I was the reporter who covered the courts until nine months ago. In all those years, I covered thousands of hearings and spent thousands of hours in one of two Allen County Common Pleas courtrooms in the general division. I had a front-row seat watching countless attorneys practice in our justice system. One of the best I have ever seen is a woman running for judge, Terri Kohlrieser.

Terri is a felony prosecutor who has put some of the most dangerous criminals behind bars where they belong. In her career, Terri also worked for judges in a common pleas court and the appellate court. While Terri is a “legal eagle” when it comes to researching the law, she excels where the heavy lifting at the court is done: felony work.

Terri is, by far, the most experienced candidate in this race. Terri has the temperament, intelligence, work ethic, organization, people skills and experience to be an outstanding judge. Please join me on May 8 in voting for Terri Kohlrieser for Allen County Common Pleas Court judge.
