Letter: NRA needs to change its tune

We have allowed our schools to become war zones where innocent children become prey. A child should not have to worry about gunplay at school. A child should be able to concentrate on their future, not worrying about whether they will have one.

All guns are deadly, but the assault rifle is the weapon of choice for school shooters. The NRA needs to quit defending the use of this weapon.
