I agree with the individual that wrote in to Sunday’s paper offering to help the schools in the area by volunteering time to stand guard and protect them from shootings. I to have a concealed carry permit and would help out where needed. Even if we were not allowed to bring guns into the schools, just having someone there dedicated to watching the parking lots and hallways may be more than we have now.
My children went to a local school and three of my grandkids are now attending the same school system. I have lived in this area all my life and all of this combined is my incentive to volunteer. Rather than trying to blame the NRA and trying to outlaw guns, let’s take a step in the right direction and harden our school security.
