In reading Monday’s article about the Allen County proposed tax levy to help fix aging infrastructure and replace the engineer’s office, I think I would like to see more information about how exactly commissioners are going to spend the $35 million generated over the next 10 years.

This is $3.5 million per year, but the only thing mentioned was to spend $500,000 per year on road repair. Just where is the other $3 million per year going to be spent? They could spend $2 million per year on roads and bridges and still have $1.5 million per year left over for other things.

I agree that roads are getting in bad shape, that the engineer’s office needs more room and there are many projects that need money. Before I vote to approve a levy, I need to see a lot more details on how they plan to spend $3.5 million per year for the next 10 years. Thank You.
