I just wanted to write a shout-out to three uplifting events from this Christmas season.
First, Pastor Mick Whistler of Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina. He and his congregants going to the Waffle House in Wapakoneta and giving five employees a very welcomed Christmas tip was like the Wise Men carrying gifts to Baby Jesus.
Second, Dominion Energy Concerts showed on television during commercials with all the schools in our area singing Christmas carols. I believe Peggy Ehora is responsible for this, and it is a feel-good idea.
Third, rounding the corners in the Lima and surrounding area and seeing Father David Ross’s large signs saying, “Come Home for Christmas – Mass schedules for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are the following: All are welcome – Please come.”
How lucky we are to have these individuals in our community.
