Letters: Don’t forget lives taken by guns

I’m responding to two gun rights articles recently featured in The Lima News.

Gun rights groups should save their energy worrying about gun grabbers and spreading ideals, and instead should give proper attention to the innocent victims of our laws which have failed us in real time. They should spend time working on coming up with real thought provoking solutions to honor and give voices to those who’ve lost their lives. “Gun Grabbers” are Americans simply hurt at seeing their fellow Americans lose their lives and are trying to challenge the status quo by coming up with solutions.

The Lima News should do their part in featuring opinions of those humane folks who share the same sentiment. You can be for gun rights and have enough common sense to be sensitive to the families who lost loved ones at the same time. Conversations of this matter should always be about preventing future tragedies and showing empathy for the American lives we’ve lost. We should never let their memories fade.
