Letter: Double standard in Van Wert

Drug offenders pulled over on traffic stops are being allowed to take an online course and get a partial refund of their fine ($100 I believe).

However, the non-drug offenders who get stopped pay non-refundable fines even though the troopers are so busy, the citations are completed incorrectly. The trooper will follow you after you have supposedly gone through a stop sign at 5 mph after midnight. He will pull you over on a lonely rural highway claiming you also crossed the white edge line and were not wearing a seatbelt. He will interrogate you about ownership of the vehicle before he even asks for your ID and registration. He will write a citation with incorrect plate information and race of individual. His report will only have information about the 5 mph violation though because the rest was untrue. The Van Wert court will uphold it.

My case was not the only one like this in court. Intimidation? Harrassment? Data submitted to state looks like he pulled over a white female. This is a fundraiser.
