Thank you Jim Krumel for your kind and sensitive acknowledgement to the father of Wendy Jeffers in your “People and More” column on Jan. 23. The victims on so many violent crimes are more than the ones acknowledged in the police reports and the newspaper articles. The collective pool of victims extends, many times, even to the perpetrator’s family.
I personally know the prosecutor who pursued the previous case against McWay. She is a dedicated, hard working and committed prosecutor. I have not spoken with her but I suspect she is also suffering from this tragedy.
Please remember all of the victims in your prayers.
