I think everyone agrees this is an important election. National Politics are important but the state and local elections are where, we as citizens, can have an important voice.
One of these key local elections is for representative to the State Board of Education, Region 1. Since becoming a school board member, I have had the opportunity to work with Linda Haycock. I was impressed not by just her knowledge of education but her ability to communicate clearly, legislative concerns to state and federal legislators. She has represented our area as a Shawnee School board member working to insure good educational philosophy to our state leaders. She has also represented our region and all of Ohio on legislative trips to Washington.
Linda understands that a good educational platform must be available to all students. Her past work has demonstrated this concern. Linda is articulate and assertive in pressing for proper educational initiatives for all Ohio students. She will represent this area well and insure our local voice is heard at the state level.
